If your clothes are still very wet after the spin cycle but there is little or no visible water, then the washer is not spin drying the clothes, a defective timer probably is to blame, but consider these first:

1) Is the lid of the machine tightly closed? There could be a problem with the lid switch. – Try manually depressing the lid plunger or use a magnet (for magnetic plungers) and see if it spins.

2) Too much detergent can cause the machine to have difficulty spinning. Check for buildup in the bottom, near the agitator.

3) Look for a washer drive belt problem.

4) Try pushing the agitator down. Occasionally it becomes either either loose or worn out. If it is, you will need a new agitator.
