Electromagnetic Spectrum

Electromagnetic spectrum ranges from gamma waves with the shortest wavelength to radio waves with the longest wavelength. The electromagnetic spectrum is continuous. There is no gap in it and no frequencies anywhere in the range which do not exist. In addition, there are also no distinctive boundaries between one waves to another.

Short wavelength 10-12 m   Gamma ray

10-9 m   X-ray

  Ultra-voilet
10-6 m   Visible light
  Infra-red

10-3 m

  Microwaves
1m   Radio Waves UHF Radio
  VHF Waves
Long wavelength 103 m   TV Waves
