A
logo generator program can do the job as long as you provide the
proper input.
A
decision to use a logo generator program is completely appropriate
for a business that requires a premium logo without a premium price.
However, the logo generator can only assist with the logo design
to a point. It will still require the sound judgment and unique
insights of the business owner to provide essential guidance. While
the program may have the capabilities of generating a first-class
graphic, only the owner can determine what logo design is appropriate
for the company.
The
purpose of a logo is to provide recognition for your company. You
want to insure that your logo is readily associated with your business
and prompts a favorable perception. A logo generator has all of
the tools to make this happen but there are still some fundamental
principles of logo design that must be considered. Assembling type
fonts, graphic elements, shapes, colors, etc. isn’t just an exercise
in producing something that looks “cool.” It must look like, and
positively reflect, the company that it represents.
Make
sure that your logo is consistent with the personality of your company.
If you provide a financial or legal service, your logo should indicate
that you are serious, professional and stable. If your product or
service offers entertainment or amusement then it will likely benefit
from a design that is more playful or whimsical. A logo generator
program is fully capable of supporting either of these corporate
personalities but it is up to management to determine precisely
what that personality is.
Don’t
make your logo too complex. While a logo generator may have many
tools and techniques available, it is not necessary to use them
all. Most people are time-starved and on the move. In order to make
an impression it is imperative that a logo be visually digestible
in an instant. A simple but highly unique graphic presentation will
engage the viewer in a split-second commercial for your enterprise.
Expect
the most from your logo generator software package. But be prepared
to do a bit of brainstorming before the design work begins.

I found this information to be "extremely" helpful. I coordinated a community awareness event in March and it was so successful that I've been encouraged to do it again next year. In my planning, I wanted to add a customized logo to the title of the event (just in case it takes off and becomes an annual event). I've been so stressed about hiring the right people to do it and I decided to get a program and try it myself (as money is a consideration for any grassroots operation). I know what I want it to look like and I don't think I can convey that to someone else so I'm going to give it a shot. I'm a little less nervous about it and I'm sure it will save money that can be put into the project.
