-Money
doesn't grow on trees; it grows on bushes. Most money is made out
of cotton, not paper. And while it only costs about three cents
to make a dollar bill, it costs 1.23 cents to make a penny and 5.73
cents to make a nickel in 2006. I guess that makes good cents .
. . err, sense.
-Carrots
might be good for your eyes, but they are not always good for rabbits!
Mel Blanc, the voice of Bugs Bunny, was allergic to carrots. Also,
the when the Trix rabbit made his debut for General Mills in 1961,
his line was "I'm a rabbit, and rabbits are supposed to like

-Next
time someone asks you to help do the dishes, suggest this odd water
saving technique: put them in the dishwasher. On average, washing
the dishes by hand uses two times more water than that used by the
average dishwasher.

really does fly. Flying from London to New York by Concord, due
to the time zones crossed, you can arrive 2 hours before you leave.

is absolutely no mention of an apple tree in Genesis. According
to the King James Version, But of the fruit of the tree which is
in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it,
neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die" (iii.3). Also, Noah
was the first man to eat meat in the Bible. It was after the great
flood, that God said, " Every moving thing that liveth shall
be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things"
(Genesis ix.3).
-Considering
that more collect calls are made on Father's Day than any other
day of the year, it's a good thing that Ramses II died long before
the invention of the telephone. Ramses was an Egyptian pharaoh who,
at the time of his death in 1225 BC, had 96 sons and 60 daughters.
-Blondes
not only have more fun, they also have more hair. The average blonde-haired
scalp has 120,000 hairs. Brown- and black-haired scalps have 100,000,
while redheads have only 80,000 hairs on their scalps. So the next
time you want to find out if someone is a natural blonde, try counting
the hairs on their head!
-Gesundheit
is right! When you sneeze, air is passed through your nose at approximately
100 miles per hour and all bodily functions-including your heart-stop
for a millisecond. Sneezing too hard can fracture a rib. Suppressing
a sneeze can cause a blood vessel in your head or neck to rupture.
Also, it is impossible to sneeze with your eyes open and it is believe
if your eyes were held open during a sneeze, your eyes would pop
out.
