bath bombs finished

Materials:

Netting Remnants
Ribbon
1/2 cup Citric Acid
1/2 cup Cornstarch
1 cup Baking Soda
1 tsp Essential Oil
6 oz Vitamin E Oil
Wax Paper

Makes approx. 2 dozen.

In a large mixing bowl, mix together all of the dry ingredients. In a second smaller bowl, combine the oils. I chose Jasmine Oil and my bombs smelled wonderful. You can add food coloring if you would like a funky color for your bath! Slowly pour oils into dry mixture.

place balls on wax paper After it is well blended, you can just use your hands, scoop it out and pack it into one inch balls. Place balls on wax paper to set. Let the bombs sit for 24 to 36 hours. If you try to pick them up sooner, or even touch them, they will crumble.

Cut a square of netting for each bomb and a piece of ribbon long enough to make a bow. Gently (I can not stress that enough!) pick up a bomb and place it in the center of the netting. Gather up the sides and tie the ribbon to secure the package.

That's it! If you give them as a gift, be sure to include a card with instructions. Make sure they know these are not edible! Fill a hot tub, drop in the bomb and take your bath. No need to remove it from the netting, just toss after the bath.
