Seeding

The good seeding season is the mid to end spring. It is recommended to plant them directly in container, because their germination rate is pretty high, and the size of the seeds is large enough to be treated easily.
It is recommended to keep 3 inches of interval to seed them, because they grow big.

Watering

They seems to be always thirsty. Especially in the dry summer in California, sometimes they require watering more than once a day. However, in the humid summer in Japan, maybe it is enough if you water them once a day only on sunny days.
If you forget watering, they lose vigor easily.

Fertilizer

They also like fertilizer. Do not run out of fertilizer, especially if you have planted a few of them in a container.
Mix the fertilizer in the soil before planting, and give them liquid ferlizier once in 1 or 2 weeks during the growth period.

Growth Period

It is recommended to cut the growth point when they are 8 inches high. It encourages them to have new branches and have more flowers.
If the flower grows large, you may need something to support the head to keep it from facing down.
If you pick the fading flowers right away, new flowers can obtain more nutrition.
