If your washer won't drain, even after cycling the timer, there can be several causes:

1) Washer pumps the water out, but the water comes back after the spin cycle ends
- Check the height of the drain hose. A part of it must be above the water line of the tub, otherwise some water will remain in the hose.

2) Washer doesn't pump the water
- Verify that the water pump motor is receiving power. Check the wires that lead to the pump motor. They could have vibrated loose from their connections or burned out. These can be replaced easily.
- The water pump motor, impeller, or timers could be malfunctioning. Call in a pro.

3) Washer spins, but doesn't pump the water
- The drain line is plugged. Usually, it is a small article of clothing, like a sock that gets lodged into the drain line or motor itself. Remove back acces panel, disconnect drain line from water pump motor and check for obstructions.

HEIGHT OF DRAIN FOR WASHER
I AM BUILDING A LAUNDRY ROOM. AT WHAT HEIGHT SHOULD THE FAUCETS AND DRAIN PIPE BE LOCATED. MY WASHER IS 42" HIGH. I WOULD PREFER NOT TO "SEE" THE FAUCETS, ETC.
